No more Yips: Marcel Haremza triumphs in Jaromĕř

He eagled 11, birdied 14, 15 and 16 and finally won three strokes ahead of Patrick Niederdrenk and Richard-Georg Noemeier, and with a very comfortable gap between himself and a whole bunch of his fellow countrymen: Marcel Haremza, 30 year old PGA professional from Bavaria, is the great triumphator of the Nová Amerika Classic, the 6th tournament of the 2008 RENAULT EPD Tour season.

With rounds of 70, 71 and 68 strokes on his card the well known longhitter outdrived his competitors by far and sealed victory with a flawless performance on the demanding greens of the resorts par 72 course.

After struggling with his putting more or less the whole last year, he practiced very well in South Africa during the winter, got more or less rid of the Yips that had him suffer quite a few months and made his comeback to the tour just four weeks ago. No he seems stringer than ever.

Clever tactics, an excellent game plan and the knowledge to take his time and wait for making the right move in the decisive moment were his strengths in Jaromĕř in the Czech Republic, when he celebrated his 10th victory as a golf professional.

Niederdrenk and Noemeier finally shared 2nd place with 4 under par, Manuel Kempe was third with 2 under.

Alltogether there wer eight German PGA professionals within the top 10, just Englands James Ruth and Kenneth Mortensen from Denmark were able to place their names on the leaderboard as well; they shared 8th place with Germany's Richard Porter.
